This is a bittersweet ending for your tale. It seems that all tears are shed and all consciences clear. This will b3 a terrific story to publish for young readers.

Thank you again for the super rating and for your kind encouragement. It will probably take me some time to rework it even to the next draft form.

Thank you sharing the top notch conclusion of your book and best wishes with the final editing. I admired your "Easter egg hunt" analogy and all the memories securely stashed in the specimen bags. Big cheers- Joan, from Ashland

So, we've made it through cutting a sapling from Hen, but now we've got one of our little guys stowed away? Oh, no!! Will he survive so far from the planet without the proper nourishment?! So, I'll be holding my breath over here, but I promise to 'cheat breathe' til you finish up your editting! ;) :) LOL! Thanx so much for the whole intriguing tale, Helen -- thoroughly enjoyable and educational as well! ;) :) Yvette

You'd be better hurry. --> You'd better hurry.

I think you excel at incorporating emotion into your story. This pulls readers in and makes us want to read more. I just started reading this and want to go back and catch up on how the story develops. It is an excellent posting, my friend.

Thank you so much, Janet! Appreciate your kindness in seeing some merit in this. I was hoping to do a little sci-fi for my granddaughter and get her interested in the sciences. Blessings on your day!

I just reviewed, I think, a part of this story thinking it was a poem. I'm not sure. Anyway, this is a heartfelt story about leaving friends who are now trees. I like the originality of the story's characters and making them lovable.

Thank you so much for reading this even though it's the last chapter. Someday, I hope to re-read and re-write which will be the frustrating part. Lol.
Thanks for your time, Phillip! Bless you!

Very nicely written, Helen. Good luck with your book. Yes, as you mention now the hard word begins in rewriting and editing. Please advise ~ whose feet?
"I didn't notice the little crescent shaped feet behind the bathroom door." Is this BahBee (a stowaway?).

Hello Helen. Your imagination in the development of the story with "plant life" and human life is well done. Sometimes during the reading it was difficult to recall who the different life forms were. Robert

A marvellous story Helen, now you can have a transplanted Ash in her garden of remembrance, perhaps another variant of the Ash tree species? I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, it seems to me it could well be a young person's book, it could blossom into a trilogy, well done, blessings, Roy

A very well-written chapter and a last goodbye. There are enough specimens that will take a while to examine and woek through to keep the mind busy.

That Ash smelled of Pineapple might lead one to say parting is such sweet sorrow. The trees and her planetary helpers gathered all the specimens Hen needed to complete her mission. we end on a cliff hanger with the little crescent-shaped feet.
