Haiku Poem For this contest you are challenged to write a Haiku poem. Haiku is a form of poetry that only uses three lines. A popular format is to have the first line contains five (5) syllables, the second line seven (7) syllables, and the third line contains five (5) syllables but a strict syllable count is not required.
SIX STAR worthy. This is a great poem, mystery writer. I wish I had a sixth star left to give you. This is very well thought out and presented in such a way that no matter one's religion, or lack thereof, each can relate to this write.
"we all huddle here, a mass yearning to be free of fear" ... luv this! Yes, each and every one of us wishes for this. "but in the distance we see lights and we hear singing" ... I lovely symbol of hope for peace and joy. "what is it about?" ... terrific concluding line. "is shelter a miraculous present" ... question mark after present ... present? Love your title too!
