This senryu about a recent marriage, A Brief Stop on the Way, has a 5-7-5 format and leaves me with the phrase 'toad in the hole' (sausages cooked in Yorkshire pudding). I have learned something today and it's not even noon.

Just found out that O.W.Toad Ltd does the copyright for Margaret Atwood.

So toad was on my mind as I wrote this poem.

On another day I may tell of what happened on their first evening as a wed couple,
if you insist.

On another topic entirely, am writing a serialised romantic comedy at present that will give the toad couple some ideas about what to do.

Am about to do chapter 3.

[That must be what FanStory call a "pump"! ]
