Write A Modern Fable Write a short fable-like story where the last sentence starts with: "And the moral of the story is". This can be on any subject, true or fictional, and can be in any voice, as long as the moral is stated in the last line. A new twist on an old fable is also allowed. Be creative and have fun! Maximum word count: 300
It's difficult to lose someone you are close to and have so many memories of. It's even more difficult to express it in a concise poem. You did it very well. That's a phone call that nobody wants to get. Cowboy
The consonance of hurt/heart here is what makes this 5-7-5 stick in my mind. Although denied by many within FanStory consonance, this matching of consonant sounds regardless of the absence of a like vowel sound is a form of slant rhyme that is generally accepted among the poetic fraternity that write in the English language. It is good to see it exemplified here.
So sorry for your loss. This sentiment is beautiful. I know what it is like to lose friends, lovers, and family. I can only say that I hope you have support around you in the days and weeks to come. Very heartfelt poem for the 5-7-5 contest. Good luck.
This 5-7-5 says a lot. I can really relate to it and the people we love do continue to live in our hearts. I believe it! Awesome presentation. Well done. Wishing you the best in the contest. Blessings, Cathy
"Until We Meet Again", is short, succinct and very much to the point. Between each line of this talented poet's work are woven the golden threads of truth. To me, this is definitely a six. I look forward to seeing your next post.
