Your poem effectively describes the mindset of one going through a phase--
I hope--of feeling out-of-step, thinking others are so much smarter (sages).

By the way (response to notes), people who practice the fine art of writing rhyming
poems quite often come up with rhymes that sound natural, not silly! :-)

    Thanks Janice,

This was a freak poem pulled from the dark dank recesses of my back garden, in Winter.

Like a fallen leaf, it'll soon be so much mulch!

    Thanks,

    Ricard.

    PS:
Am permanently out of step, the odd man out,
the jigsaw piece down the side of the settee.
    Have got used to it!

This speaks a feeling, at a certain spell of time, when you feel you have become a pale reflection inside yourself, you never know what is going to happen at the intervention of outer force trying to enter into; well said, well done. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR

    Thanks Al,

This poem's describing the cat's feelings not mine!
I picked the pic then added the words!
A bit of fun to get to the minimum of poems needed for the fanstory threshold.

    Like writing when it's fun.

    Go well and
May God stand by you, every day in the future as
he has every day in the past.
