I really like this poem. Having been around plant, in and out, all my life, I would have difficulty living without them. I would have liked to have given it a higher rating, but there are some things that need to be worked on. The picture is of a fern. A fir is an evergreen tree. I don't know which is the topic plant. In the third stanza, I would suggest a comma after "bad news," too. In the eighth stanza, I think what you want to say is "I plead that you stay awhile." I like "lacy green brings me smiles." I love the very last, when the plant shows it heard your pleadings by birthing a shoot. Best wishes. You can really get the point across. Good job on that.

If you ever want to try the lock and key deal, I could maybe be of help on punctuation.

Your poem is relatable to me. I am undertaking the planting of various plants and shrubs but know not what I am doing. I cross my fingers and hope for the best. I do talk to them and give them love. Your poem is cleverly written, Great job.
One thing I noticed: I plea that -your- (remove r) stay awhile Best to you! TA ";~)

This was an interesting read. It reminds me of a cute movie I just watched called "destination wedding" , where Wynona Ryder tried exhaling her breath on her dying plant, exclaiming "come on photosynthesis" It was a cute and different romantic comedy, i'd recommend. A heads up on a typo: "I plea that 'your' stay awhile. "

It was a pleasure to read, and good luck with contest, and God Bless.
