No one in this contest has a nice word to say about their weather! At least everyone gets into the spirit of the humorous Limerick, as you do here.

Good rhyming and a nice punchy last line. Good luck.

Steve

Hi Tracey, what a cute little limerick about London. I visited a long time ago and was impressed with Piccadilly Circus and the great variety of global food choices. A top notch limerick with good rhythm and rhyming, and a cute observation. Best wishes in the contest.

This hemispherick limerick, London, has the proper structure and seems to suggest, like the Beatles said, "You'll have to get your tan from standing in the British rain."

Funny, you mentioned London in your review of my work. I added it to my reply. Then I look you up, and there it is again, good things come in threes I guess.
Nice little limerick, I do them too, but usually in the outhouse on the job-site--not sure if they would be appropriate here.

    Hi there, Jimmy

Threes are always best, I just can't get my hubby to agree with me :) lol

Work-site humour is often gritty, but eye opening too :)

    cheers you.

    I've fanned you.

London seems like a rainy wet city where umbrellas are very popular and London makes mountains of gold selling to tourists protecting them from the rain. Love your color scheme and font. Such a joyful poem. WOW you are in 1st place by yourself. Good luck! WELL WRITTEN. Read mine also.

-Good image and presentation, Trimple.
-I haven't seen you in a while.
-I remember your poem about
the painting of the Woman in Gold.
-Saw the movie about it, and then
bought it to watch again.
-I like you fun, light-hearted limerick.
-You capture very well what I
hear about London; that it rains all the time!
-The images are very good.
-Good luck in the contest.
-I will have a new poem for Sun.
-Hope you stop by.

    Good evening to you, Pam

I have been suffering from a nasty bout of writer's blockage, unfortunately. However, I hope that I'm back in full swing again now. :)

How lovely of you to pop by. Oh yes! I remember that poem I wrote about Gustav Glimt and his most famous painting, 'The Kiss'

Was the movie about the theft of the painting and the relative of the previous owner fighting to keep it?

I'm glad you enjoyed this wonkey limerick :)

    thank you

    much love

Glad to hear you are back in the swing of things, Tracey. Yes, the movie was the situation you described. It starred Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds. It was really good. You are very welcome for the review; I enjoyed the limerick!

Fingers crossed, I'm here for a while again now :)

I Love Helen Mirren. I'll look it up as I've only seen a documentary about the case.

Lovely to hear from you again Pam.

    :)

reply by Pam (respa) on 27-Jan-2019
Hope you are, too. It is a really good movie. It was good to see your writing, too.

What's a visit to London without rain?
That's like steak without the potatoes, macaroni without the cheese, or poetry without rhyme.
Okay, I realize that last comment was a shameless plug for rhymed poetry.
Sorry!
Heh-heh-heh...
Great limerick.

    Hiya Dean

Ha ha ha. Love your review :)

Indeed, London without it's rain would certainly be odd :)

    We get used to it.

    Thank you

Pure perfection and entertaining!
I really love the presentation: perfect artwork, black background;
what font did you use? it is very eye appealing;
your poem clearly and humorously described London, known for its rain, not letting the tourists down.
This is a GREAT contest entry!
Gale
