I like how each stanza balances out one another by having the same amount of lines.
This was thought-provoking, your wordings are strong here.
Good luck!

Forgive me for saying this, but from this review, it doesn't appear that you have read any of it! lol

It's a pretty long poem, I know, but at least, have mention about something written here at least.

    thanks

This is exquisitely told! I love the lilting meter and what struck me most is the storytelling in the rhyme made me think of historical figures until at the end we are brought back to the game of chess.

Thank you so much for your splendid review and special rating.

I guess you figured that the King and the Chess master were playing each other?

    Thank you

So pleased you enjoyed this story of chess.

Yes, that came through. But I also felt there was a message about life in general.

I ask you because a couple reviewers didn't quite understand the poem.

Yes, there is also meaning to life about it as well. thank you.

Some relation, especially a love relation, it is so light and based on emotion, it can break or frustrate at any moment, heart can break anytime, none could help, naturally it can stand; dialogue of reason cannot help; well said, well done. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR

I enjoyed your smooth flowing story in rhyme here and it reminded me of the beheading of Queen Anne Boleyn. An epic tale and I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x

    Hi there, Dolly.

    Thank you for your review.

    No! lol

    I ask because it's important :)

Can you read the last two stanzas again for me lol

    :)

    thank you

    Kasparov?

reply by the author on 26-Jan-2019
    lol No!!!

It's the king on the chessboard. He is talking about the game he just played with the queen. In the last two stanzas he says he will play with the queen tomorrow.
He plays chess with the Chessmaster and they wink at each other.

Oh lord, lol maybe it is really to cryptic lol

Ha ha ha . . . What a laugh, especially as the King is the weakest piece on the board! Ha ha ha, glad we got that one sorted! love Dolly x
