Blu,

I have gone back and read the three chapters in order (sorry about that, I didn't realize until I was writing the review for the third chapter that it was part of a book, duh! I'm getting more sleep now.)

I am intrigued, challenged, puzzled and awed by the trio. I tried so hard to look at them from an "end of days" POV, but the biblical references were so glaring that I felt an almost simlutaneous, or even really, an alternating description of Biblical history and present circumstances.

In this poem especially, it all rang biblical for me (please let me know what I'm missing, I guess it kinda defeats the point to have to explain them though, huh! A girl can dream). I took from it: the creation, either Sodom and Gomorrah or Lucifer cast into Hell with his minions, the hopes of the Jewish people to establish a state of their own is betrayed (the first time?), the Flood? ("crystal" threw me off here), the decision to put Jesus before Pontius Pilate, and the second coming/ultimate revenge/ultimate destruction.

Once again, though, your use of language is magnificent. I could never truly understand it and I would re-read it many times just because it sounds so doggone amazing!

Blu, I know this was posted way back in February, but I am fairly new to fanstory, so am just going through my back emails. Somehow I missed this first poem about your End of Days series. I just wanted to read and review it, so I could better understand the most recent ones.
This is an interesting series you have started and I am following it now. This is very well written in your unique style that I have grown to love and understand. This is very prophetic about the state of the world in the last days....and one could say from reading your poem that those days are everywhere right now...like the whole world is an addict, ragged and begging, injecting filth into their veins...very sad but perhaps a wake up call...loved the arm of Geddon reference.

hope all is well for you,
Foxey :-)

To see such artful selection of words . . . if only my brain worked this way - a first draft??? Holy smoke, I am a child playing with words compared to this. Thought provoking - the last stanza - the world of men on a collision course with fate . . . Zen

I said I wouldn't review any more of your poems, but here I am. I know now that this is how you want them to read, but I still don't get much from them. You need to add a note of explanation in the author's comments for the benefit of people like me.

...ecstasies too fine to smoke a fire
stir to sulphur, rip the begging sleeve. ...

Uh huh. ;)

You know? Not too many poets can leave me speechless, yet I think I found one amongst us.
Another one to read between the lines and it would take me too long to say
all that came to mind. So I will just say. Well done!

Off to the potter's wheel or another canvas...

This is a very well written and thought piece. You style is shimmering with a light so many authors in this site do not posses.

I think it's pretty good. It could use a few minor adjustments here and there. But overall I think I would give it a B+. That is if I were your english teacher!

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Your work doesn't bear one or two readings. I must read four, five and six times. Imagery and thought processes are simply incredible. You are like a breath of fresh air. "Crystal and wave have victory over beaten hands to conquer Adam's toys". To use an out-of-date term, that simply blows me away.

I really enjoyed reading this one. I found it head and shoulders above so much of the "other" poetry on this site. Fantastic, what else can I say :)
