I always looked forward to see her corrections in my work. She taught me much and I loved her work. So sorry she is gone, but her work will live on. Thanks for remembering a fine lady. Blessings to you Sandy.

Me too, Chuck, I was so upset to hear of Brooke' death, but pleased to realise she would now be out of pain and busy writing her poetry in Heaven. That's two talented poets we've lost this year. I hope that will be the last. Thank you so much, my dear friend. Big hugs, Sandy. xxxx

I've got to get on here a bit more, I've been so busy with family health issues.

Lovely sonnet for Brooke. I'm sure she's reading them all with a smile. She was one of my favorite people, and I've missed her since health concerns forced her to leave us.

Thanks, Phyllis, it's awful to think we'll never read another new poem from her. I always hoped she might be well enough one day to come back to us. Yes, I'm sure she is looking down with a smile. :) Sandra xxx

You've alluded to some of Brooke's favourite subjects in this lovely poem of remembrance. She was, as you so rightly say, everybody's friend. She certainly did much to make me feel welcome when I joined FanStory.

Yes, Brooke loved the simple things in life and wrote about them. But in the last years on here, her poetry was mostly about the little man she adored, her beloved Sawyer. Thank you, Tony. Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra....I'm sure there are many references to Brooke's writings here that, being the newby and unfamiliar with them, I just don't get, but this is simply an outstanding tribute of strong images amidst an almost celebratory rhythm! So, glad I got to share an insight with your work here! Thank you for sharing! Yvette

Brooke wrote many poems about four-leaved clover, she loved dandelions and rainbows. But in the last few years she was writing on here, it was mostly about her beloved Sawyer. We will all miss her. Thank you Yvette for your lovely review. You missed a great poet with a gentle soul. Big hugs, my friend, Sandra xx

Yes she was and her poetry needs to be put in a book for Sawyer....well for the world actually. Wouldn't that be wonderful for Miranda. I wonder how old Sawyer is now?
This is a beautiful tribute
Hugs Sandra
God bless

I'm not sure how old Sawyer is now, but I do remember when he was born, all the lovely photos and poems Brooke wrote about him. I'm sure he will miss her loads. Thank you so much, Jenny, for your lovely review. Big hugs, my friend. Sandra xxx

What a beautifully written tribute to your dear friend. It's so well-written, descriptive, we can feel your love your admiration for her on every line. The poem has a nice even flow, rhymes very well, and your chosen prompts, the four leave clover, dandelions, and rainbow were all wonderful choices, they gave the poem a bright, colorful feeling, magical in a way.

I chose those prompts because they were things that Brooke loved and often wrote about when she wasn't writing about her beloved grandson, bless her. I'm so pleased you liked it. I'll miss her, we all hoped there would be a chance that she could come back, even if just for a little while, but it was not to be. Thank you for your lovely review, my friend. :) Sandra xx

This is so beautiful, Sandra :) I'm trying not to cry. All the things and feelings I wished I could have put into a poem are right here in yours. You captured the feelings I wish I could say. Gorgeous.

Aw, thank you, Joy. I just kept thinking of all her favourite things, and these were among them. Of course her most favourite was Sawyer. love him, he gave her so much pleasure, didn't he. I can't believe she has gone, Joy, I had hoped one day to see her back on here. I remember how patient she was with me when I joined one of her classes on here. It was a sad day when we lost her. Thank you for the 6, dear friend. I know your words will be beautiful. Sandra xx

Awe, Sandra, this is just such a beautiful poem and tribute to Brooke's memory. I so regret that I never really got to know her. I was too new on the site when she fell ill. I'm so glad that you did, though. A wonderful poem. A big hug. Ulla xxxx

Thank you so much, Ulla, I'm sorry you didn't get to really know her, she was one of the kindest people I've known. She loved the simple things in life, hence the four-leaf clover and dandelions and rainbow, she wrote so many poems about them. And Sawyer, of course. :)). Thanks for the six, my friend, that was so kind of you. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

I can almost hear her speaking through your words.
She touched us all with her poetry and her warmth and we will miss her.

I do, dandelions were her favourite of all flowers. I can understand that too. Thank you so very much for your lovely review, Debra. I'll miss her as well, it's so sad that she has died, she wasn't that old. Thanks again, my dear friend. :) Sandra xx
