Well done, Jaybird. what a lovely tribute to an undoubtedly lovely woman. Thanks to you, she no longer remains "unknown!" You're reverent without gushing, befitting words for one of her generation- and yours. Nice to see that you brought to light such a lovely piece on Mother's Day, and that your regard for dear Irene hasn't waned.
WOW! This was just a fantastic piece. You wrote from the heart, it was truly felt. The passion, the love, it was in your tone, it was cherished by the reader. Great flow to your words and the story telling, excellent. This was a pleasure to read.
A very nice tribute to a woman who is to be admired. Great rhyme and verse. She sounds like she may have been fun to be around. I have know a few such woman that stay witty and smart all their years. Well done. Rox
Excellent ... well versed full of admiration and breathes dedication. It has a frame on which the echo of sincerity and love reverberates and shows a mind able to conceive of great things. Its voice is clear easy and understood with a voice of quite humour and devotion.
HELLO JAYBIRD: I like this posting because it reminds me about me, and just how far I still have to go.... I'm 73. When I was born, you were already, 21. I can learn a lot from you. You are my elder and I respect and honor you as a role model and an extremely intelligent human being. God bless you. Cordially: rhonnie69.
I enjoyed your wonderful tribute to your mother-in-law - it is well deserved. She showed great strength to overcome all that she suffered.
Your poem is rhymed beautifully and has strong even meter. But more than that it shows all of us the power of determination to get through
life. Thanks for sharing.
