The circle of life continues as plants procreate another one of their kind to replace the old and dying ones, I suppose a lot like people do. The last two paragraphs are particularly significant. Well written and enjoyable. Marilyn

Hi Helen,

A few new names I didn't recognise -- I've not been terribly good at keeping up reviewing lately, too many distractions. Still, I think I'll be able to follow OK. I enjoyed this chapter and didn't spot any glitches. Nicely done. Craig

A very well-written chapter and an interesting ritual that make me think about the seed we plant that have to die first before it can bring forth new life.

And that's how God sustains His creation, all are part of the survival code programmed into it. And because you have the exposition to what evolutionists call a gigantic accident. I love the way your story weaves this into your fabulous story, the miraculous life cycle. Well done Helen, blessings, Roy

Thank you, Roy. One of our friends was likening how one generation nourishing the future ones is like the process of decomposition. Blessings on your week!

I guess that would rely on the parents, if it was a good farmer, each generation would get better, dancing on generational roof. Ever upward Helen,

I think I have finally caught up with your prodigious output. The story about how they got BahBee and the tree was appealing, as was the idea of fallen fruit feeding future generations. Cheers- Joan

Hi Helen, I like it! Composting at its best... composting with love. :) This is a truly imaginative story with lots of the elements of friendship and compassion born of learning about those who are different from ourselves. :)

I don't want things to change for the Bohdee. They have such a wonderful world as it is. However, I'm eager to see what that strange fruit does. Ash has grown very quickly. I like her philosophy on death.

This is a very complicated, yet fascinating, story. I love the interaction of all the trees and plants with each other. Yes, when we die we also have the potential to help the next generation. Great comparison.

Oh, I'm so glad his little tree is gonna make it....he seemed so distraught...;) And I like that Grumpus overruled the initial burial decision....shows an interesting insight into the leadership dynamic! ;) Loved that they each campaigned for their own little tree! :) Thank you for sharing, Professor! :) Yvette

This is a very original story.
The last sentence made me think of real life. Every dead person feeds the future generations so to speak.
Thanks so much for sharing.
