I love those beautiful words of a father whose pride and who I'd very proud of his son, are so very clear, in fact to down below. That's the way it should be as children need the encouragement.
Very uplifting!

This is a wonderfully well written, genuine tribute to your dear son, Jay.
I was always taught by my parents, as I'm sure you were too, that anything worth having is worth working for.
Not that my opinion matters in the grand scheme of things, but it sounds to me as if your son gets it.
May success always be a staple in his life, and yours.
Well penned...
~Dean

A loving and supportive poem for a son. As a fellow CPA who graduated high school in 1968, I can identify with the sentiments. Thanks for sharing.

A very nicely composed poem in honor of your son's graduation back in 1969. That's the year my son was born. Thanks for the update that he is now a successful CPA. Marilyn

I like this Jaybird. You've shared some history and the life story of a greatly loved son. It sounds to me like he excelled at whatever he put his hand to. I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

This is another wonderful tribute to the boy we've come to know a bit through your writing. I had no idea it would be about him until I reached the end. It was a nice surprise. I love the title and refrain of tops in the neighborhood! So good!

This poem, Tops in the Neighborhood, is a neat send up for your son and his drive to work to be the best at whatever he's doing. Certified Public Accountants are the focused ones.

It sounds like you are very proud of him. That is nice to see. Too many fathers today do not praise their sons and we see the result of an uninterested father. This is well done and a loving tribute. Rox
