You are such a delight. Your students are so lucky to have such a creative, fun-loving teacher. I want to see a photo of you in your first day of class dress. I can't imagine a whole sonata displayed on the dress. Do you wear a hat with that as well? How priceless!
I'm trying to go back and catch up on some of my favorite writers. Glad that I picked this one to read.

Oh, you sweet-talkin' reviewer, you!! Thank you for this lovely review.

Yes, I do wear a hat with the sonata dress. I wear a hat with everything!! I never ever leave the house without one!

What a cool idea, Rachelle. I'm sure the winners of the bags are thrilled to receive such an awesome gift made with love by their favorite music teacher. And the dress is amazing and looks great. Nice job.

Hello Rachelle,
You've written an excellent story of the wonderful teaching dress.
It's good that the next teacher in line is Madeline, not Michael.
It might prove a bit awkward for one named Michael to wear it.
It looks like a work of art, perfect for one who loves music.
Wonderful description in your story and wonderful tradition.
Nicely done
Robert

HAHAHAHAH! Yes, it's a definitely plus that the next teacher in line for it is female, too.

Thanks for the warm and gracious review. xo

A joyful, wonderful story of tributes, to your mentor, your students, your subject matter, and the art of teaching! I love the "teaching dress." And also the beginning of the year dress and the special bags you make and present to your students. I am sure they treasure them. I am enjoying the chronicle of your teaching career so much, with the rich details and blend of humor and humanity.

A neat tribute to a piece of clothing and to its original wearer.

Maybe add a little more about Ann--something she did or said in that dress. Just a thought.

I like the part about music being fun. Reminds me of Mr. Hollad's Opus.

That is an exceptional story of legacy and is unlike the disposable society we seem to experience these days. I really liked the content and the emotion of making a tradition. We need more tradition. -Robert-

I enjoyed your story about the teaching dress, Rachelle. You did a great job with the smooth flow of events. It is amazing to think that dress is as old as it is and still is wearable. What a super gift you received and now to pass it on is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Could I please borrow a star so I have six? This is awesome. My husband says I dress like I should have been on Little House on the Prairie AND he loves it. I do occasionally throw in a hottie, which shocks everyone I see, but I would wear army boots with a flowered dress. NO PROBLEM! The dress legacy is a fantastic idea, as is the bag and it sounds as if you have made a choice to give it to a special gal who will proudly carry on the tradition! Great idea. Great writing piece.
Wendy
