I'm sorry for your loss, but what a lovely tribute to someone who sounds as though he were a very special man. Your poem reflects great respect and admiration, and every rhyme hits the mark. He would undoubtedly have been very grateful.

This is a beautiful memoir and a lovely poem. I greatly enjoyed reading it.

There are a couple of typos; did you mean "godly man"? There is also an "I" after the first paragraph, and a 5 after line three of the second paragraph.

Thank you for sharing!

Hi Jay, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your good friend. Something like that is never easy but I'm sure his heart is warmed by this lovely tribute that you have written for him. :)

This is a very good poem and tribute to your friend. I particularly like the first stanza. One typo you need to check
Third stanza hin (him). Very well written in perfect rhyme as usual. Take care. Jen.

I'm sorry for your loss and this is a warm and sentimental tribute and I liked the meter and rhymes. Just one suggestion for the penultimate line, remove (the) and leave (poetry) in full. Love Dolly x
