This is an adorable photo of all little blonds who look darling in their tutus. We do all try to fit in like cookie cutters. The more we are alike, the more we feel accepted. Our individuality usually blossoms as we age. Then we dare to be ourselves. Marilyn
Well done with fine tanka write, yes indeed, the best way is by the Lord's instructions byway of dealing with the world,an excellent tanka entry in this contest Nancy, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy
Thanks for this reminder in a creative way that God loves us and excepts us unconditionally as his children. God enables us to encourage each other and work together to advance his Kingdom. That is exactly the opposite of how the world works.
Good message, portrayed with lucidity. I like the two-word pivot line...very effective. I also applaud the medley of S and soft C in the last two lines and the alliteraiton of F in the first two. A couple of spag suggestions:
people are not friends
when they make fun of you, dear,(; or --)
comes from God(,) who sings with you,
blesses with joy, love, and peace
This is a terrific Tanka entry, Nancy! Your word choices are strong and your pivot from what people think to what's really important is perfection. Good luck in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.
A very well-written Tanka about the bullies in the world that usually target the children of God and love to make fun of them whenever they can. We as Christians know how to handle those who go out and treat us with disrespect.
