Yes, this is certainly a statement of faith in the works of science and one to which many can relate... the admission in those last few lines is also one that some could understand.. :) :) Great combination of the 'short lines and long lines' to create a very well-balanced offering for the contest - good luck! ;)
This is a wonderful companion to the religious 'faith' submissions. Faith in facts can be shifting ground as more is discovered and proved to be otherwise. Chaos theory and String theory sound rather unfathomable to the common man, as religion sounds unfathomable to the 'scientific' man. Both 'sides' find their comfort in evidence.
The last half of your poem is what I connect with most, being unsure about most things and not set in concrete on what I do believe... yes, a questioner, as I think we all should be, of ourselves as well as others.

Thank you for the lovely response. I thought this was a good opportunity to highlight the shifting ideology of the masses and state how I personally put my faith in logic based reasoning and acceptance of the outcome regardless of what you guessed.
Wow! I have to admit, I'm a rhymer through and through and sometimes I find it hard to get into a poem without rhyme, but that right there was a Great piece of work. Very profound. And so very true, every word!
