An thank goodness for God's good grace and keeping all the athletes and fans safe. This is a delightful piece. The rhyme and meter are fluid throughout making it a joy to read aloud. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.
It's a nice piece of poetry beautifully commemorating Olympiad 2012 and the Glory of England.
Impressive and matching the theme phraseology.
Smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end.
The last two lines are particularly noteworthy.
I think this poem is true of most Olympics. The town always shows its best side as do the athletes of all countries. Though, sadly some have been marred by violence. It is always good to see the Queen.
A nice tribute to the London Olympic Games. It focuses on the positives and encourages patriotism and love of sport.
Interesting use of the spelling of "olde." Makes perfect sense here and adds just the right bit of nostalgia.
, it flows beautifully as I read through it and the punctuation (or purposeful lack of) keeps me at the rhythm that I know the author intended for me. I also pay particular attention to the presentation of it. Since there are usually fewer letters and words than a story or article, I place great importance on the spacing, placement and actual choice of letters and words.
-Another very good
-Your note is appreciated.
-Excellent rhyme, meter,
and description of these
Olympic games and
England hosting them.
-The tone is very positive
and uplifting and adds
to the spirit of the games
and pride of the host country.
-An excellent concluding couplet, too.
-Thanks for sharing these memories.
I always enjoy watching the Olympics. They are already advertising for 2020 Summer games. I like winters best, but enjoy many of the track events during the summer. This is well done and brings back good memories.
