JayBird, dear sir, this is really good.
I totally loved the 8 syllable verses and your exceptional rhyme.
No artwork was needed ... your poem that expressive.
Perfect title creation.
Thank you for the larger font :)
Loved the third stanza and the ending couplet.
"Olympiad 2012" , is an extremely well-written and justifiably patriotic piece. This talented poet's work was a privilege to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I'm never given enough of them! I look forward to seeing your next post.
I enjoyed reading your Olympic themed poem today :) It gets me in the spirit for the next one. Summer in Japan I believe. It will be fun to watch and witness all the new records they will set. I wonder who will be the darling that the fans fall in love with this time?
Thank you for reminding us about the glory of the 2012 Olympic games. Here in the Los Angeles area, we are preparing for 2028--I hope we approach England's success! I enjoyed your rhymed sonnet as a fitting tribute. Cheers- Joan
P.S. With a pen name like JAYBIRD1, you might enjoy my "Feathered Neighbors" post. It somehow got out of sequence in my portfolio.
I read your rhyming poem about the great job England did in England with the Olympic games in 2012.
Very written telling us how England did so well to win the Gold metal even if there was the threat of terrorism .
