How long will he last indeed?! Boris does look like such a scruff and related to DT. Not a good combination. Let's hope his action speaks louder than his bark.
A cleverly composed triolet with a subject matter that is quite topical at the moment. ~DD

I hope for your sake that he doesn't last too long. Some here might disagree though I suppose. Well done, I enjoyed the rhyme of sinister with minister.

This Boris really fancies himself but I feel we need a cooler head rather than a fairground barker at this stage of the game. Thanks so much for the six stars and lad you liked the polysyllabic rhymes.

Well done. It wasn't easy, but you did it. As for the content, who knows?
Politics has always been and will continue to be mysterious machinations that only those on the inside can share. So cross your fingers or say a prayer.

They are indeed a mysterious bunch, politicians somehow not real. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Well Boris seems like a most colourful character, at least from what I've seen of him. He has a very big and next to impossible job ahead and if he isn't successful Brexit will be the exit of him, just like Theresa May.

The triolet is a perfect form for this subject.

Most enjoyable read today.

Colourful no one would deny but I am not certain a fairground Barker is what us needed right now. I would prefer a safe hand on the helm.

I enjoyed tinkering with the minutiae of this, which is something one can do to get the best out of a very restrictive form. Thank you for your supportive comments.q

Politics just stink no matter where you live. I wouldn't want to be one. No one likes you, your brains seem to fall out after elections and you never live down the mistakes, esp today when it gets captured on film and put all over the internet. ={ Some people just need to get out!! We have many in that category in the US. Well said. Rox

Hi, Jim. You folks have as much trouble keeping a prime minister in office as we do trying to get our asshole president OUT of office. Yikes. Beware the blonde madness, my friend. : ) Bob

ps. I take it he is not a fave of yours, Jim?

You take it how it is, Bob. I hope we don't keep him long. Behind his clownlike exterior there beats a heart of solid venom, in my humble opinion. Many thanks for your sympathy.

-Good image and
presentation.
-Notes are appreciated.
-I enjoy the Triolet form.
-Good syllable count and
repeating lines, and timely topic.
-I like the phrase, "blonde and sinister."
-I don't know anything
about the new prime minister,
but things aren't much different here!
-Someone wrote a poem in
a contest about both of them!
-Thanks for sharing.

Not only do these leaders look alike but they seem to act similarly. I fear for the future when a brace of clowns are in charge. thank you for reviewing.

I've done triolets - but not exactly like this one. - didnt' know there was a new prime minister- we've quit watching so much news. There's so much hatred flinging about and it's disturbing cuz people here seem to have forgotten why there is an America. We must keep praying. I pray for our President always - for his safety, protection, health and lots of wisdom. In my view - that's our last hope.

But it isn't simple at all. It is very difficult to repeat so many times and see that it goes un-noticed. I have accomplished that a few times. It is a form I go to when I can't get inspired. I enjoy the triolet. Good job here, Jim.

He he he! You made me smile here Jim and we are in one of those unique situations where we have no clue what is going to happen! It looks like a no deal Brexit to me, but maybe Boris has the balls whereas Theresa didn't? The Europeans have walked all over us because they have nothing to lose. It will be fun finding out! I liked your toilet with it's repeated lines driving home the point! "How long will he last?" I suspect not that long unless he works a miracle in October and pulls something out of the hat that we do not know about! Love Dolly x

And i liked your Freudian slip: 'I liked your toilet ...' Well well, that is good to know. You are free to use it any time. Lol. I would need one of Derwen's crystal balls to scry the futuree out of this lot.
