I live on the beach in Florida. Your poem reminds me, never feed the seagulls. You will be surrounded by thousands of them each dropping a gift for you.

Neat love poem. The sea offers so many great images.

Consider capitalizing How I am lifted!

Maybe delete the comma after summery winds.

I like the "unknown" ending.

This is another great entry for this Love, actually, poetry writing prompt. I love how the waves hug the sea. A brilliant romantic statement there.
God bless
Steve

Very nice memory-jogger for me: I was in boot camp during "Nam when Glen Campbell's "Galveston" was playing often. Made me extra homesick for my Texas and the girl who promised to wait forever*... Nice poem, picture and thought.

*P.S. BTW, she didn't. Moved in with a friend of mine 3 months later. I ended up married to the world's meanest woman... these last 42 years...

3 daughters, in fact. So many shoes, so little time... Preachers say "Heaven" is a perfect place... Could it be a "Men only golf course"?

A very well-written poem about a love relationship that takes us to the highest levels and let us soar with the seagulls over the waves of the ocean.

Hello anon, this is a lovely free verse with good use of alliteration using the letter 'S'. It really is a lovely read with a dreamlike quality. I love the final stanza with the hesitant, not-quite-sure that he will come again. Lovely entry for the contest. Good Luck - regards Dorothy

Very nicely done. I love free verse and you have done an excellent job here. It tend to sing. The last line leave us hanging a bit. Will he return or not? WHAT? I was ever so sure he would! Great job! Good luck!

don't know if this is personal or fiction, but, if real, and you are unsure if "he" will come back, it sounds more like infatuation than love, but you sound awfully happy in your poem, so I hope he does and it's love.
This free verse exudes pure delight and high expectations and expresses it with a lovely analogy.
Good luck and best wishes,
pome lover

This is a very well written and neat take on love and the sea gulls. You used very good descriptive words and very lovely imagery from the art work you chose. Great entry for the writing prompt. Blessings, Teri

Maybe a love poem, or a poem of someone that has passed and viewing life from above, " I am sure they turned green" speaking of envy somewhere, and then " sighed in pure pleasure" the lines make sense though seemed shuffled****kahpot
