Hello my friend. Been a while since I have seen a post by you. This is a well constructed poem. I love your use of strong verbs throughout the entire piece.

Like: "

Sea gulls wheeled and screamed exultant
Surging waves hugged the sea
Spraying stardust in my eyes
And I am lifted! how I am lifted!
Sailing high, I met the haughty gulls
Smiling I told them how you and I
On summery winds, soared so high.
Swooping down to the waves I splashed,
Softly and whispered that you and I
Sighed in pure pleasure."

    Thank you Bob. yes i have been very irregular. then posting a work also need a lot of time since it involves promoting and working up enough member cents to promote. And that involves reading as many posts are possible....

This is a very whimsical free verse of new love or maybe the euphoria of making love. This woman seems to be wondering if the love will last.

I love the fantastic imagery you're infused into your free verse poem. I lived across from the beach on a Caribbean island for many years and the salty scent and sounds are still at the forefront of my mind. Best wishes in the contest!

I like the artwork. I am amazed when artwork compliments the words of the poem. The calming blue, seagulls and water gives a beautiful romantic background. So many of the lines emulate love. So many words focus on loving relationships. Romantic words like smiling and sighs set the mood.
