This is an excellent posting with perfect end rhymes. The message is true and very meaningful. After reading it, I think a lot of readers are going to take a long look in the mirror and recognize how it applies to their own lives. Forever blessings, Janet
"Success In Life", is an exceptionally well-written and thought-provoking piece. It was a privilege to both read and review this talented poet's work. To me, this is a six, but I only have fives left. I look forward to seeing your next post.
Life will bless you if you need, if you follow the path of true. I really like this part - success depends in life in how you live, depends on what you do and how you give. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful read on the way different people look and take on their life, your last two stanzas are excellent on what we should be aiming for, very well written and thank you for sharing****kahpot
You have said it best with your poetry.
I have said many times, it doesn't matter if you have millions,
are the pope, president or movie star, we all end up the same,
'dead.' Thank you for sharing an excellent poem.
This is a poem that reminds me of Benjamin Franklin's style, although I'm not sure why. I think the idea that searching endlessly for prestige can cost you friends is an interesting thought. I like these lines: Success in life depends on how you live,
depends on what you do and what you give.
Not sure what to improve. Thank you for posting.
Well rhymed poem and beautiful words. You brought a new light on 9/11 and about thinking of our choice to live life the way we want it. Being a Canadian I remember all the planes that landed here and our long standing friendship that transcended politics. Blessings~Brenda
What a beautifully executed poem! The rhythm was perfect and you did such a good job with your rhyming words.
And, of course, the message is fantastic. Greed is probably one of man's worst sins. It sure makes people unhappy, not to mention can land them in jail. Hugs, Lou
I suppose the main problem with the struggle for success and money is that some people keep changing their definition of "success" and eventually decide that there's no such thing as enough money! Your poem is very well-written and realistic.
