One of the things I miss about living in the north, is the changing of the seasons. In Florida, we don't experience seasonal changes. The only thing about winter is the grass grows slower.

Good luck in the contest.

Thomas, yes, but Florida in the winter beats anywhere up North. I would take the slow-growing grass

Where can you find blue leaves? That makes the picture very interesting. A 2-4-2 which actually makes sense is rare. The picture did help to get your point across. Good luck in the contest.

The given contest entry 2/4/2 format structure has been well done within its selected content autumnal narrative storyline, too. Only the selected picture brightness and cleaness doesn't fit to the poetical test it should have been dirty and probably wet. Good luck for the contest

They are the soundless soldiers marching to the ground. The wind does indeed carry them silently to there resting place. I like this JLR. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

Well done Jim. The wind as a metaphor is a very broad one indeed, and speaks of God, being a judge, an arbiter, a saviour, and a messenger. In fact it has many illustrations in the bible. Well done, an excellent post and entry, well done, blessings Roy

Loved this, just the other day, I was sitting in the kitchen watching the leaves, swirl around the tall Oak tress, as if visiting...It was a very windy day, and the site of the leaves falling to the ground...was so entertaining...I watched them, silently fall to the ground...(some would have called me nuts)..I enjoy this, and I certainly think it's a good entry in the contest..Thanks for sharing...few words, true meaning!

Warmly,
Victoria

Tough, these ultra-short poems - to write and to review.

You have captured a striking image of the leaf falling in silence, caught by the wind.

Good luck.

Pretty impressive and in just 5 words. Love the presentation and you followed the 2-4-2 rule down to a tee. Says exactly what you wanted to say. Good luck in the contest. I can see everyone enjoyed this as much as I did.

A perfect little glimpse of autumn. So true, a gust of wind and the leaves flutter down. The artwork was striking. Bravo, judester
