Scary story! I was thinking at first Morana might be a temptress or vampiress, but the reality was even more startling. A quarter of a million dollar investment distracts the reader into thinking someone will be after Andrew Barnes for his money alone, but again, the reality is so much darker. It appears he really was being followed by the Cambion demon on multiple occasions. Congratulations on the win!

I can always count on you to really read and understand as you have it spot on. The targets are picked for their wealth and lack of those who will miss them quickly - have to read between the lines to get that though :). Thank you VERY much for making the write worthwhile.

LOL! I doubt speed dial is needed since I think this was just a fluke of nature. They denied me a feather on the same day so perhaps this was just their way of making it up for it :). I do know I was truly honored as there is nothing attached to being recognized other than the encouragement to keep scribbling away. Luv ya sweet one and am rooting for you in the current contest.

I've written about cambions before. They are disgusting demons with huge sex organs. This story is wonderfully written and I love the ending. Never trust a woman who reads the future, you may be part of her wishes.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

A riveting horror story, true to genre. The amulet makes a good tracking device for this horrible pair! The narrative builds slowly to its climax with just enough hints along the way to keep your readers hooked.

Oh my - a surprise and yet not.Well done with suspence and an interesting plot. Could have been any decision that he sought help for - but this is quite a scheme this woman cooked up. Yuk.

The doorman hailed him a cab (and off he went. ) I don't think this part is needed. (delete) The reader will guess he drove away, no need to tell them.

Morana resumed her seat and took his hands (palms up in hers. ) This does not make sense or explain the action, in my opinion. (in hers: palms up.)

"What!? You see the exact day and time?" Andrew began to smell a scam (in the air). Again, less is more. (delete)

The story was good but the start was telling and, in places, my attention wandered. For a horror story it didn't have me scared or on the edge of my seat. I liked the end bit. That did send a chill down my spine. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Hello Mystic Angel my friend, it's been a while. I hope this review finds you well. With that being said, that was some twisted, sick stuff. It's bad enough the poor man got swindled out o $3000 to begin with, but to then get completely wiped out and eaten, damn! Guess that's what horror is all about. Great job Mystical one.

Thank you for your time and kind feedback, my friend. It is a lesson to remind folks that it is best never to meddle in the occult.
