Beautiful! Congratulations on winning the Beautiful creatures contest, they are truly beautiful. You are really very fortunate to have these guys so close but on the other hand how do you save your plants?
Best

Thanks for the congratulations - and for the six stars. We have netting around a few roses. They love roses. Other than that, we just try to grow what they don't like. Luckily, we're not avid gardeners.

What an education you give in such a short entry. All I'd ever heard about kangaroos is the pouch, but not its multi-purposes, and the boxing bit. Most images of 'roos must be male, because they look much lager than the image portrayed here. Loved your writing and your information on a totally foreign (non-USA native) creature... ...ec

The huge, robust males are much more impressive I guess. I'm glad you found it informative. I love talking about them and enjoyed writing this. Thanks for the kind words.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story. I love watching our kangaroos and we have a lot of them on our 18 acres.

Terrific story - I hope it wins. Good mix of humour and information. By coincidence, you and I both posted kangaroo stories on 20th Oct. The ability of the female kangaroo to do that 'diapause' thing is rather clever. How delightful that you get to see roos so often.

Thanks. Yes, I read your notes on your kangaroo post although I did know about the diapause thing before. We back on to the state forest and have dozens of roos continually on our 18 acres. We never get tired of watching them.

They say beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, so by that reckoning your gangly kangaroo is a beautiful creature. It was a great idea to let the kangaroo speak for itself and describe its amazing features.

The photo is terrific.

Good luck in the contest.

Blessings Julia

Dear Mystery Writer,

No. Stinking. Way.

You took these pix looking out your home windows???? That is crazzzeeee! Of course, some people go all their lives and never see a pig or cow or goat in person, so I suppose it all goes along with where you live. That is soooo cool, though. hahaha

And I had no idea that Roos came out as small as jelly beans. They sure do grow, don't they?

So much fascinating info! Thank you!! (And good luck!)

Thanks for the lovely review. We back on to state forest here and have dozens of roos in our paddocks every day. I have so many photos I could paper the walls with them!
