This is an interesting short piece of flash fiction. It is short and sweet. The picture provides an excellent complement to the very short story. Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you for reading.
I write a lot of hard stuff so it was fun just to write something that I enjoy watching. I have been reflecting on trees a lot. Even when they loose their leaves, they are still standing. They stand for hundreds of years - some do. On a personal note, we need people in our lives that are like trees. They stand with us.

Hello Flyaway1, I hope this review finds you well. Thank you for sharing your flash fiction with us. To tell a story in so few words is a challenge that I think you executed well. Good job and good luck!

It?s been a hard fall this year. I have thought a lot about how strong the tree is - standing despite everything. The leaves die but the tree waits. The spring will return again.

Hi There,
my partner things I am mad when I try to put a voice to an inanimate object, so I am glade I am not the only one. It is a shame that a leaf only lasts one season when the tree can stand for hundreds of years. I loved this little poem.
I will looking at the leaf's in a different light now.

I enjoyed writing it. We have had such a pretty fall- I have been thinking about trees and the cycles we go through in our own lives.

Thumbs up for this dribble story. You put forward a great picture of fall and make it seem realistic. Best wishes in the contest, this is a good one.

Fun write. We have had a beautiful fall and I have been enjoying watching the leaves fall. Life has cycles - the ups and downs, but there are beautiful moments.

A very well-written dribble flash fiction about fantasizing about being a leave that change color and falling from a tree in autumn, sadly dies as soon as you hit the ground.

For some reason, I have been thinking about cycles. The highs and lows- the living and dying. Every part of life has it?s beauty.

-Nice artwork, Karen.
-Your note is appreciated.
-I like how you personify
the leaf and can relate to it.
-The imagery of its elation
in being chosen is very good.
-The artwork complements
that very well, too.
-I guess we all go through
those times when we feel
like this leaf.
-A well written piece;
good luck in the contest.

I have found myself relating more to nature and the cycles of life. The leaves may come and go, but the tree stands tall through the winter. No matter the highs and lows, or where the wind blows us- the spring will come again.

You are very welcome. Nature is a great healer and helps us appreciate what is around us. Spring does always come again.

I really enjoyed this and it is quite different. It does read a bit like a poem as the end words mostly rhyme but I shouldn't think it would matter. Good luck in the contest.

    Thank you for reading,
It was prose for me, but a good observation. I tend to be lyrical.

The thought of being a leaf is unique and the ultimate message, like a leaf, is stunning. Leaves enchant me each fall, but this is one of the nicest portrayals I have ever observed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Thank you for reading,
Needed to write something that felt creative and not sad. There is always another layer- As the beautiful leaves fall, the solid tree that remains is hope. It stands tall through the winter waiting for the spring. New leaves will grow again.
