This is a lovely retrospective poem. The lines "Is to capture and save the moment / That I first laid my eyes on you" are evocative and many will be able to relate to the feelings you're describe. Your last line, "I'm sure that I will never forget you" sums up your hopes and desires.

Nicely done!

Great job with this writing that appears to draw on a memory from the song, I think it was called "time in a bottle." Was it Simon and Garfunkel? Anyway, this poem is very well written and expresses your feelings well.

Thank you for your time and review. It was indeed time in a bottle but it wasn't Simon and Garfunkel it was Jim Croce, but I remember it from a commercial as a kid in the 80s. I'm glad you enjoyed it, have a great day!
