Mistletoe goes back to the Druids, I just read on a site and it represents good luck. So to me or close to it, you had a good feeling being outdoors in the snow at Christmas time. You felt the breezes and saw how awesome a winter day can be. What more could you ask for.
You have your 30 syllables- 10,10,5 and 5 and the couplets are nice too.
Good luck in the contest.

I love the history lesson! Didn't know that. Outdoors at Christmas is soothing with the snow (hoping for some) and lights and festivities... And then indoors to warm up and have some delicious drinks and treats..

This thirty-syllable poem, A Mini-Christmas Carol, has the correct syllable count and adds to the holiday cheer with a quick poetic toast.

A very well-written mini Christmas carol in thirty syllables telling about the excitement of Christmas bliss despite the cold temperatures spreading over the land.

Oh this is very cute indeed! I enjoyed it. Such vivid pictures came to mind as you set out those few syllables. The snow, the wind, the merriment as friends and family gather and oh, that mistletoe.
A great response to the writing prompt entry. I'm impressed!
All the best,
Jan

What a fun little 'ditty' for the contest -- all you need now is a whistling to tune to go along with it! ;) Thanx for sharing and best of luck in the contest! ;)
