This is a sad story. What I don't understand is how a homeless man
can take of four dogs. Your story is interesting. Dogs can be loyal to
their masters.

What devotion. More than most people have. Animals are wonderful but sadly underestimated by most people. How sad that no one could explain to them about their master, but I'm betting they knew. Thank you for sharing this very touching story.

I like this true story flash fiction. I think that this poem has a very good chance of winning the contest! Excellent work! No grammatical errors. Good luck in the contest!

I like this story a lot. It taps into the strong bond many dogs have for their owner, and vice versa {thumbs up}.

However, I'm confused. Are the "two Samaritans" (note: I'd capitalize "Samaritans"), suppose to be the dogs?

If so, how do dogs take their owner to hospital in a taxi? Certainly, dogs can follow their owner being taken to a hospital in a taxi.

If not, I think you could make this clearer, because at the moment the pronoun at start of the second sentence, "They", logically refers to the Samaritans.

This section of the narrative is just a bit confusing to me.

Here's wishing you the best of luck when the contest is judged {smiles}.

Good samaritans are a usage reserved for someone whois compassionate without any selfish motive reason.I did not realise that 's' has to be capitalised .Thank you for telling me .When you think about it it makes sense.here two passers by took him to the hospital. and the dogs ran behind the taxi. Thanks for reading.I never win (smile)but it is okay .the contests give me prompts.

Makes one wonder about our human responses & compassion vis-a-vis the response of man's 'best friend'- beloved canines - thanks for sharing this story

Dog stories break my heart. I hope someone adopted these poor, loyal animals. I'll remember this Flash Fiction forever. We can never appreciate dogs as much as they deserve. They are such a blessing.
I feel more for the dogs than the homeless man. I know that's wrong, but I feel it nevertheless.
This was a powerful Flash Fiction.
