Namaste, Haripriya. I love the spiritual overtones of this. Good essence poem...hinting of 'viveka and vairagya' - are you familiar with these terms? Something tells me you might be! The rhymes are good, and so is the flow. I have two suggestions for your consideration, by way of critique:

1) Consider trimming out the filler words of THE for crisper pacing and to have maximum word economy, since this is a short poem, and that is an important aspect to such forms:

Goodbye to bane ways
That caused mundane days.

2) Consider not capping the word THAT in line two...since the two lines read as one sentence.

I love the cute picture accompanying this, as the voicing does imply meditation is the new 'way' to follow.

Namaskaram!

Warmly,
rama devi (Name given to me by Amma...have you met her?)

A cute little two-line poem. I like the picture too. A few words can say a lot. Great entry for the contest, good luck. All the best, Laura.---------------------

Hello haripriya, a good two line poem well rhymed. It's not easy thinking out these short forms but you have made a good job of this one. Good picture to accompany. Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy

Very good use of two lines. So wise to get rid of those bane ways. With this delightful picture and your meaningful few words, you have created a lovely presentation.

That's probably easier said than done. We do need to declutter our lives and have every intention of doing so. But, we tend to fall back into our old habits and another year goes by! But we must try...timely advice.

"Resolutions", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. I look forward to seeing your next post. Good luck with the contest!

The author's words are sweet, creative and have a message. The reader
pondered on the theme of this poem. The artwork is perfect and
compliments the theme and words of this poem.

This is a cute poem for the two-line poem. Love the way you rhymed

We're saying goodbye to things we do love, like too much chocolate! Seriously, this is a lovely little to line poem. I love the words bane an mundane. Beautifully rhymed, and your image is wonderful! Good luck in the contest
