Much as I love Mexico, I don't think I could ever live there because of things such as this. Oh, but I would LOVE to be there during our Minnesota winters!! Good ramble, Sasha!

If I recall correctly hating the cold was the reason my mother and I decided to move here. I HATE cold weather.

Hi Sasha, wow this seemed to be difficult to finally get your new TV delivered. Amazing how it works where you live. It used to be like that here in Spain, but that has all changed. I can imagine that Veronica and Agustin had a good laugh. All best. Ulla:)))

Sasha,

Another example of how blessed many of us are and don't even realize it! I can't imagine having to deal with service like that. I would go nuts! hahaha

You probably handled it better than me. Congrats!

Thanks, I don't think the salesman liked how I dealt with it.

You can get an app for your phone that translates for you. I don't know exactly what it is. I can find out if you're interested. Many teachers have it because I'm at a bilingual school. I don't need it because I speak enough Spanish to get by. Thank you, again, for sharing.

Well at least your Ugly American impersonation got results. Do you know the word for Tomorrow in Spanish?
There was a song in the 40's about it back then. I can't spell it in Spanish, but it sounds like Mon-yawn-a. The words told about the Mexican attitude to work. Like the roof is leaking and he will fix it tomorrow but we won't need to fix it on such a sunny day. It was a cute song. I think Bing Crosby and Bob Hope did it. Glad you got your new TV.If you leave it on you won't wear out that switch. LOL Hugs. Nancy:)

Short-term memory or not, you write a great ramble! The things you are annoyed by are so prevalent, but at least i in the United States we have customer support usually willing and able to help, albeit because they want our money. There is humor in your ramble also, something I always appreciate. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, many things are better in the United States, but I still do not plan on going back. I came here for a reason but at the moment I don't remember the why.

Sounds like a real nightmare. Technology can be so cruel, and I think it does it on purpose to torment us slow humans. Turning it on is a hassle? If so, I cannot imagine how much hair you lose trying to change channels! So sorry you're stuck in Mexico. Why not come home to where everything is in English, and the store will turn it on in the store. :)

I only have SS to live on and it doesn't go far enough to cover rent, food, electricity and water. That is why I moved to Mexico. SS goes three times as far here then in the US.

Hi Sasha

Other countries' customs are hard to put up with, aren't they?

I picked up a few spags:

they do not bother since the cannot anticipate - should be 'since they cannot ...'

The item is stored in a warehouse near the Airport - lower case for 'airport'

I am not Mexican and after waiting three weeks - comma after 'and'

and come from a country that know how to complain - should be 'knows how to ...'

I am too tired to move one with anything else - should be 'move on with ...'

Best wishes

Judy

Thanks for catching the spags. I made the changes but for some reason they don't show yet.

I thought this was a lovely read. However, I'm not used to such rambling.
It is mentioned in red.
I thought this was rather a loud color to help illustrate your ramble.
Other than that, nicely written post.
