I enjoyed this read.

Such strong phrasing... "assault" ... "bolts and
Viciously corner" ... "ghastly swaying" ... to pick my favorites.

Good luck in the contest.

Those skies do look menacing! Sometimes it does feel like us against nature. And we don't always win. Very different take on the weather as our enemy. Great artwork to go with it.

The weather can be a trial and when it is good we seem at peace and when it is bad we do nothing but complain, this is an English pass time because the weather is never that good. Here you feel under attack by the skies, a very different ABC poem, love Dolly x

This is a very vIvidly descriptive poem. Frightening weather, which of course often begins in the sky, does indeed feel like it's been sent from heaven. I have never been in a hurricane or tornado, but I can imagine they feel like an attack from heaven! Very well written, and the picture is the perfect accompaniment to the words. Good luck in the contest!

Been in a severe windstorm but not in a tornado or hurricane, either! We are fortunate. Thank you for your very nice review!

Very dramatic! This could have gone into the nephophile contest as well. At times, one feels like there are so many things that are out of our control that we can't find a logical reason for the assault on our being.

A very well-written ABC poem about the skies that can erupts in thunder and lightning that feels like an attack on us vulnerable human beings on earth helpless to fight back we can only wait for it to pass.

This is a well written poem. The imagery is striking and it effectively sets a mood of a nature that is threatening and vengeful. The picture is a nice complement to the words. Well done.

-Good artwork and
presentation, Marilyn.
-A well written poem with
vivid imagery that creates
a good word picture of the storm.
-Very good alliteration with
"blistering bolts."
-You capture the fierce
nature of some storms very well.
-I think it could also be
a metaphor for other kinds
of storms, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thanks so much; I appreciate your kind review. Yes, it is a metaphor, too; you got it! :)

You are very welcome. I didn't think of the metaphor idea until I was finished writing the review; I'm glad I did, and thanks!
