This kyrielle, Where Grief Begins, has the proper formatting, with repeating lines and seems to speak of being turned out as a punishment. Life apart though in the masses.

I am unfamiliar with this poem form but you made it flow so smoothly it was a pleasure to read but for the sadness. You deft expressions of this all to familiar emotions pulled me in. A definite contender. Good luck in the contest.

I think this is a good entry for the Write a Kyrielle writing prompt.
This well rhymed verse tells of being in a lonely place.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.

Such a powerful poem! Grief, shock, pain ooze from the lines in a realistic way. The photo supports the mood of this excellent Kyrielle.
I have known grief, you describe it well. I hope you are not experiencing it presently.

Helena, many thanks for the thoughtful review. I think many can relate to this theme, but no, thank goodness, I am not describing a current condition.

This is a truly excellent kyrielle--skillfully and creatively composed.
Your emotional, vividly descriptive lines convey the speaker's feelings of being totally alone, trapped in inescapable misery.

This is a very well written kyrielle. Your words are moving and describe a personal feeling of grief. Your syllable count and number of stanzas are correct. Great job and thank you for sharing.

This well written kyrielle seems to describe a person suffering from deep depression or a person looking for lost faith.
Good luck in the contest.

This is a very well-written poem. Very dark, but relatable. Your great word choice, description paints a vivid picture in the reader's mind. It lets us feel your pain, sorrow, heartache, your isolation. Being trapped in this empty state. Very nicely done, great use of a writing prompt.

A great and very realistic descriptions of the depressions and anguishes that go along with grief. I thought the use of " Where my grief begins" as a refrain for this piece about hurt and alienation was very well utilized especially since your character feels so trapped by his inequities and transgressions of the past. Well done.

I loved the line about walking in a crown being unseen. How many times has that happened to me? So many! I think we can all relate to this, and I felt all the emotion. Big hugs.

Thanks for the kind words. A poem always means so much more when you can relate closely to some or all of it.
