Written from the heart, and so very moving, Marilyn! This brought a tear to my eyes. Anyone who has lost their best friend and lover will relate very well to your poem. "I miss you more than I'd have guessed" ... tugs at the heart-strings.

Hugs,
Connie

This is a very touching poem, Marilyn, because your feelings are clearly SHOWN, especially in the line "how the world is less without you." Nice use of internal and end rhyme and a very well-phrased closing couplet. Rod

What a great tribute to your deceased husband, Marilyn. Your wonderful words portrayed the love that you shared. It is never easy loosing the one you love, but at least you have your poetry, which truly says more than you are aware. Great job.

When someone you care about passes away, you're left with a void. The more you loved that person, the bigger the void you are left with. That's what they mean when someone was larger than life! Very pretty with a nice sentiment.

This is a wonderfully crafted poem about the loss of a loved one. Which I can totally relate. I lost the love of my life a few years back and at times a certain gesture, sound a flash of light I think its her and all those memories come flooding back. Truly a roller coaster of emotions. I pray you are doing better one must grieve in their own way regardless of what family and friends say. God bless

Hi CP. Thank you so much for your review and I'm sorry for your loss, too. You said the magic words ~ roller coaster. We do run the gamut of emotions when we lose a loved one. The best time to appreciate each other is when we/they are still here with us. Marilyn

Oh Marilyn; first, my condolences again! This is simply beautiful, and if I had a six left this week I could show you what I really think of it. Instead, these will have to do-- ************************!
