This is so well-written and interesting to read. The first part was surprising and then the second part explained things, I love that. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this.

Our weather is much like yours always cloudy and rainy. And I like you good wishes for rain for Australia. We all have been praying for that beautiful country.

no bills' to pay at Heavens door. (no bills to pay at Heaven's door)
a rainy day keeps to heat away, ("the" instead of "to" ?)

That certainly looks like a rare cloud formation. You say you didn't even know it came. But, then it went. Yes, your weather would never sustain anything like Australia's disaster.

I think what you have here up in that blue but clouded sky is fhat the meteorologists call a 'front'. They are not always as well defined as in this picture and can mean an abrupt change in the whether.

Possible typo here:
'a rainy day keeps to heat away,' -- Should that 'to' be 'the'?

Some things noted:

-"rare clod" should be "rare cloud"

-"bill's" should be "bills" since it applies to more than one item to be paid

-"Englands" should be "England's" as it applies to only one country not multiple Englands

-"to heat" should be "the heat"

-Nice sentiment to send burning Australia some much needed rain. They sure do need it.
