That is a scary job and I hope they are well insured. The name "Gherkin" is so funny because that's what we call a small, sweet pickle here. Nice job with the varyinglu rhymed quatrains.

Colin, you've done it again, created a fun story in a few lines. I wonder how many things a window washer sees in a day? So many stories to peek in on! And, I imagine, a lot of word albeit funny things to come upon!

Hello Colin,
You've written an excellent humorous poem about I job I sure wouldn't want to do, with or without the beer.
Window cleaning a one story house is fine, the GHERKIN will need someone else.
The poem has a nice rhythm and the random rhymes work well, subtlety too.
Great picture of the Gherk.
Well done
Robert

Imagine having to clean this thing everyday! You just finish the last window and you have to start all over again. No wonder the Gherkin shines like a new pin! Your poem is a great tribute to the window cleaner! Cheers! Love Dolly x
