Another very good Mama said poem. I bet the hardest part was knowing you had hurt your Mother. You used very good words and very nice imagery from the art work you chose. Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, teri

A very well-written poem about not taking other people's things is a lesson children learn from an early age. It's one of the things we cannot ignore to teach our little ones.

LOL, and that is very good advice your Mama had for you. And sometimes a broken knicknack is the only way to learn to keep your hands off stuff that isn't yours.

Great job with another fine piece of Mama's wisdom.

Always a pleasure to read, Barb.

Gloria

I remember you shared this story before, Barb! You learned that lesson so well as you remember it and took it to heart. Your mom would be very proud of you for that!

MoMMA was always so wise and so right!
'Listen to your Mother!'
Mommy Dearest?
Great movie showing Fay Duaway's skills as an Actor.
Or Joan Crawford?
...
This was well written and rich in Theme and Imagery.
I liked your ending thoughts on morals.
Thanks,

Your mama was certainly a woman I would like to have known Barb. A woman after God's own heart. This is a pleasure to read Barb, because I understand what's it's like to put a poem together in a story, get it to rhyme, scan smoothly with the right words, and you can do that. Well done, Blessings Roy

You are so fortunate to have had such a great mother. This is a terrific story and one many of us could/should learn from. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I am working on my own Mama Said poem. It is harder to do than I anticipated.

I think this is a well rhymed and well written verse.
The message here is a good one, that I learned at a young age myself. If it doesn't belong to you, don't touch it.
Well told.

It's good to have an experience like that when we're young. It stays with us forever. I borrowed a book from school in first grade. I had to take it back and tell. I truly meant to return it, but Mother didn't see it that way.

What a blessed woman you are to have had such a fine mama. It's a sweet story when we learn from it. Love and truth hurt sometimes, but build our character forever.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo
