Yes, I agree. Writing helps for sure. I like the rhyme in your poem. The flow is good too. Encouraging people is definitely important i our everyday lives, and to be a friend when one is needed. Good work.
I enjoyed your very uplifting poem. It was full of wise counsel and I believe it echoed the tone of benediction throughout, as implied by the title. Peace be with you as well my friend, keep writing and lighting the way.
Life does go by in a flash, and the older we get it seems, the quicker time goes. I love the part about material things having little worth. Too many people get wrapped up in acquiring "things" that they never find happiness at all. Fantastic poem!
Hello Jaybird. I like the opportunity that you write about on how to measure success in your life. Your suggestion of using writing as a way to bring some joy and fulfillment into life is awesome. Well done.
Oh yes indeed, writing is the best way to go. I've found over the years, that resolution is not always, but sometimes achieved by writing it down, and one can get at least, a partial answer to that problem, a beautifully written ballad style abcb rhymed poem, well done, blessings, Roy
Lot of truth in what you say my Friend. I never regard success or money in the bank, as the yardstick of a person's life. By far, in my estimation, is the actions of one who gives without being "asked" who is willing to give a hand without recompense, and shows compassion for those who have met unexpected ill fortune! Making friends does not require a cheque book nor cash handouts, but being open minded, and a listener, generally reaps rewards seldom attained by other means. You covered much of my personal feelings in your poem. Nicely done. Rhymer. Yes, that's right, I prefer Rhyme to any other genre. Ciao Denis aka Rhymer..
I think that writing down you thoughts and how you feel can indeed heal the soul and if you put it into rhyme then it can also please us and others, just as you have done here, a poignant write, love Dolly x
