Romance Poetry and love have been synonymous since poetry was first invented. Your acrostic poem should relate to this subject. An acrostic is a poem which spells out a word or idea. Sometimes what it spells out is the the title of the poem itself. Usually the first letter of each line spells out this key word.
I like this photograph and the message you've written as a poem very much, Colin. Life has so many ups and downs, it is good to be able to go off to a soothing place and refresh our relationship with the Lord. He is always waiting to help us grow closer and feel His loving presence. (Maybe I'm actually reading your words wrong, but that is how your posting affected me when I read it.)

Hi Janet, thanks for the review , I think it's in the eye of the beholder and glad you were able to get something from this poem , I am a man of no faith but like rewriting poems as they come xx
Its good Colin but I feel that as a form unless you wish to deliberate it is failing with a more permanent structure it would be more accessible the word choice is excellent and its concept and idea is good and it strikes a well defined balance between the aid necessary and the element of faith whatever that may be in our own eyes. It is good and I like it I just thought with a more formidable format it would be cool and more deserving of the five or possibly the six. Though short it speaks volumes and picks the head up to question this God that you kneel before ... such is the subject matter.
One wonders what he walking to, or away from, and why. I see a very big, heavy door that is hard to open. I see the inner fight with the door, which is really his own soul. Great poem Colin. Well done, again!
It is difficult when we find ourselves trapped in emotions or anger... but we know that somewhere we have to find hope for tomorrow or forgiveness of yesterday so that we can walk free... Wonderful thought for the day, Colin -- thanx for sharing! :) Yvette
