| Although I've heard these words before, I never tire of them. And although I love most gospel readings, I never tire of the ones that are read around the Easter season.I hope it is easy to be saved forever by believing in God and following in His ways. I guess we will never know until it happens to us. Very well written, and a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Thank you for your kind words! I would encourage you that you indeed can know you are saved by simply trusting Christ and His death on the cross for your sins. And then He was raised from the dead to give us all assurance of all His promises being true.
Here's a great verse for your situation right now:
1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. 10 He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that YOU MAY KNOW that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
God wants you to KNOW you have eternal life, believe and be saved and secure forever. God bless you, Dennis

Well, Denizz, so I am a lost soul, because I do not believe in any religion. I just can't because my belief is that it doesn't exist. I also don't feel the need to tell everybody what I believe or what I don't.
Now, I do hope you can accept me for that, because I respect all kind of religion and beliefs, but I don't like to be preached to.
Also, this is a creative writing site not a preaching site. I think this kind of writing belongs to quite a different forum. Kind regards. Ulla

Ah, but you just did tell me. So what's sauce for the goose should not be denied the gander.
And since my preaching was clearly labeled and you read it anyway, you must have done it for the money! I don't care why you read it I'm just glad you did. It is kind of amusing folks with your views try to shut up other voices while trying to take an above it all stance. Especially when you all feel compelled to preach your own persuasions.
So, everyone is a preacher...for a while. We shall see one day whether Christ is Lord; some happily and some sorrowfully.
Did you know ? Jesus said, "They hated me without a cause."
To not love Him is to hate Him according to scripture. A good thing to consider before check out time. I wish you well.
