A great offering and the many names of Jesus Christ throughout time. I love the royalty of his name in heaven and Earth. King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Sending you my best today as always,

I really like this poem. You did an amazing job. I love how you mixed the Greek and the Christain mythologies into this work. I look forward to reading more of your work to come. I wasn't quite sure though who you were referring to here. The Christian God, Apollo, the "Lion" or one of the angels.

"A yellow face
I am part of the golden race
On Rome's hill
Where the sun sets again"

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it and am honored by your review. That stanza refers to either and is talking about a more glorified human race what one might look like kind of like an angel but more human

Okay, that makes more sense. I thought of Apollo, but then I'm also Wiccan and Apollo is my patron, so I instantly thought of him.

a great piece of work....form cadence storytelling
what an amazing poem
what an amazing story
such a mix of power and strength and fall
I can feel the Romans and their frustration with the apocolyptic language of Revelations
Greek mythology is an intriguing but difficult walk past the God's but you simply are a master of bringing it to the commom people
great work
have a smiley day

I like how you paint a picture image of biblical and mythology and how you brought them all together. An image of what has yet to come. Very, very well done! :)

Interesting images here, weaving images from Revelation with the Roman gods and showing how the Lion is superior. Unique and well done. Thank you for sharing.

I liked it very much and the vivid imagery. I also appreciated the focus on the old Testament figures with Greek and Roman Gods. Also, the imagery of the lion versus the dragon. The line "attacked by the mouths of men" is all too true! Thank you for sharing this.

To put these entire spectacular feats and wondrous stories and figures together is as enormous deed in its self; handled exceptionally well. And to culminate in the Christian viewpoint is superb! I enjoyed the poem very much. It read well aloud and caused a great stirring within. A lot of knowledge, thought and creativity went into this. giovanni

I like the way all these stories and characters are brought together win your poem and to support what you are trying to say.
It flows and reads well, and there is some good rhyme in there, too.

This is heroic, magnificent writing. I am so impressed by the comparisons, the historical and biblical knowledge that hide behind this wonderful poem.
Recognizing also the mythological (one of my favorite sources) and spiritual force, there is no doubt in my mind: at least 6 stars from me.

Thank you!
