You did a good job with your contest entry. It is well organized and well explained about the things you miss. Your many examples of those 'things' add strength to your work. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

I think this is a good entry for the What Do You Miss writing prompt.
This short piece gives a clear description of the regular daily activities that are now missed.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.
Sharon

Our lives have certainly changed drastically! I shudder when I listen to the news and hear that list of those who are more susceptible to the virus: people over 65, I'm 66. Those with other health problems like heart problems, asthma or COPD other lung problems, diabetes, hypertension! I'm 66. diabetic, asthmatic, high blood pressure. It's a scary world we live in!
Stay safe!
Patty

I don't like e-reading either. Your story is a well written description of what is now lacking from your daily life, and your paramount concerns that these changes have inflicted - the well being of your vulnerable mother, impact on housework and library borrowing amongst other things that all add up to so many unwelcome changes. "This too shall pass" is my mantra also.

It's amazing the simple things that we miss when we find ourselves confined during city wide lockdowns. I think that things and places away from home that would be annoying may not be so annoying now. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

This is an interesting post for the what do you miss? contest. I think it is the first time I have seen written what is missed when you put your life on hold to care for someone more vulnerable than yourself.

Yes, this too, shall pass. I also miss church, more than I thought I would. We've been doing Bible study with ZOOM, but it's not the same. There are some people who always have a good wisecrack or one-liner, and you can't chime in on ZOOM. But, as you say, this will pass...and you WILL get to see your son and grand daughters.

A very well-written story about the things you miss the most during the lockdown and our lives that changed so drastically that we are not the same people anymore but we still remember the activities we enjoyed.
