The slant rhymes at the end were just ok. REALLY great message! The flow is a little bumpy at times in third and forth stanza.
Still it's better than I could do. What is Covis? A slang or nickname for Covid.

I think you are pretty safe in Australia as there have been fewer cases there. Let's hope the world can soon open its doors again. Your words are poignant and powerful, a situation we shall not forget in a hurry, there have been so many deaths and they are still rising in the UK, love Dolly x

Hello Dolly Peg! Aust is leading the world in fighting this threat to civilisation. I think most of us have obeyed the rules, however hard. To save lives is more important. Love, Kay.

This would also have been an excellent entry in the faith poetry contest as it offers an excellent spiritual message appropriate for these difficult times. I like the perfect end rhyme couplets, and the picture of your garden flower is gorgeous. Stay well, Kay! xo

Thank you for this inspirational message about patience. We will get through this. It has made people creative. I know my mother was visited by my brother and his family and everyone stood on opposite sides of the driveway. Lots of pictures and conversations were had. It was still a joyful time and we all laughed at the craziness of the situation.

Hello friend, Yes, we live in strange days. On ANZAC Day we stood in our driveways with lit candles to remember the fallen in wars. Thanks for reading. Love, Kay.

You make a great point, Aussie. We can't give up now in this fight to defeat covid-19. We've all come a long way, though many have died. I agree with everything you wrote. Your daylily is beautiful. I have only seen orange ones. If it can survive through the fires, then we can pull together and survive through this virus.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello special friend, I used the day lily as a point of survival. You picked that up. I think we are relaxing rules too soon. Our pools are going to open; this little black duck will not be swimming yet! Love, Kay.

Thank you for sharing your lovely lily - and words of insight. Patience, I'm afraid, is in shory supply here in the States. On Cape Cod, here in Massachusetts, an ice cream parlor opened up just for Mother's Day. The people mobbed the store - despite requests from the owner to order one hour ahead and to stay 6 feet apart. A young student working there to save for college was so verbally abused, she quit after a few hours. That is not exercising patience. That is worrisome, as we have not yet got this virus under control. Thank you for your reminder...

Amen to your comments! Patience is something us oldies have learnt over the years. The young ones have none. So dangerous. We only have takeaway from shops (except supermarkets) I get mine delivered online. Lonely at home, FS keeps me awake! Love to you, Kay XX

The feeling of fear is fanned by the constant media attention on the catastrophic results of this pandemic worldwide. Patience, commonsense and faith will win through eventually.

Tony, you are in tune with my own thoughts. Some are like pigs in a trough, some are cautious, we can't change folks. Patience will win through. Nice to hear from you my friend. Love, Kay. XX

I think you're right, if one good thing can come out of this terrible time, is that it might bring the world closer together. I've often thought that it would need a common enemy for the world to do this. I like your point about running to social media. I'm trying to limit my time on Twitter at the moment as it does seem really toxic on there and all it does is drag you down.

Jacob (a beautiful name) I turn the media off! All it does is cause more anxiety. We must learn to be still. Jesus said, "be still and know that I am God." Meditation helps too. I paint, that helps. Nice to meet you. Blessings, Kay.
