Oh, it is so very hard... and the house just doesn't seem 'right' for a while... Well done, my lady, and may you find peace... Yvette
P.S. Sorry for the delay - been a long four-day weekend around here with trying to get things squared away readying a house to sell! ;) Take care! ;)

Thank you Yvette. I am experiencing much the same and am very delayed in my reviews, as well. Not a problem. :) Be safe

Oh, good, I'm glad this didn't end up on a sad note. Losing our pets is so heartbreaking. What a cute little pooch and your rhymes compliment it nicely. Don't think about having that loss, enjoy the time now. Hugs, Lou

Very nice poem! Losing a pet is tragic and I think we have all felt the loss at one time or another. I like the form you have written this in. Keep up the great work!

It's horrible when a trusted friend and pet is lost...but only from our lives and never from our hearts. Our faithful companions provide so much love unconditionally...all we have to do is respond to them with joy and they know why we are the center of their universe. This is a beautiful posting, Ralf. xo Janet

This is a sad and heartfelt poem. Losing an animal friend is deeply emotional, and the loss is very real. Dogs are especially in tune with us as an individual. They leave a huge hole.

They hold our hearts in their eyes. I considered my pets as my silent fans. They were ever at my side. Thank you for your review and thoughts on this matter.

No pain compares to the loss of a beloved pet. Losing any family member is heart-wrenching and the grief is unbearable. But when we lose the people we love everyone understands the loss and is there to comfort us. More people offer sympathy for the loss of a pet nowadays, but in some ways, we still feel as if it doesn't matter to some folk as much as it should. This was a sad and sympathetic poem that reaches out to pet owners that have lost their furry sons and daughters.

We've had to endure many times like this Raffaelina. I think possibly the saddest to see go, was our last dog, he was a lovely dog, and adored our granddaughter. Beautifully written my friend, excellent rhyming and narrative, sorry for your loss, blessings Roy

Thank you so much Owen. There were two of them, Huckleberry and Finnigan. Side by side, they left us within a month of each other. Isn't it so sad?

What a heartfelt challenge poem, Raff. You did a great job with a poignant subject. I'm sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. Your lines are in the correct places, I like the scattered rhyme, the picture is precious, and your message is clear. You are right about how we miss our fur babies when they are gone. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
