Hello Aussie, your story indeed was of horror. There were many scenes that made me feel the terror as you described them so well.
I wish you the best in this contest.
Gert

Great horror story Aussie, and very well written. You held my interest with Mori on that cold, concrete floor until the Sword of Vengeance went swishing through the air. well done,
cheers,
valda

Horror yes, but oh, what action and salvation after all! Well told and penned. I cringed at their torture and cheered on the granddaughter and the sword in action.

This is quite a story, you had me on the edge of my seat. I am glad for the happy ending. It is especially a strong story because the good characters are strong women. Excellent writing and I wish you well in the contest.

You did an excellent job with this genre, which I never read but your tale of fighting females drew me in. I have been away for awhile, no computer and other life issues. Elaine

I don't usually read violent postings but you have made a good point about vengeance being realized and honor being upheld. This writing is fast paced and offers the reader strong imagery. Best wishes in the horror writing contest, Kay!

This is a well written short piece that certainly meets the horror criteria outlined in the contest. The fact that the characters were Japanese added an interesting touch.

I wouldn't really call this horror, and there is also one line, 'Whose torso,' that makes no sense. Read before it and you'll see. It looks like maybe you edited it and didn't remove that line or something.

Thanks Amanda. If you don't think it's horror - how about the torture, and decapitation? I will check your comments.

Good luck in the contest Kace. This was very well done, it had an amazing flow and kept my interest through the increasing suspense. You captured my attention definitely.

This is definitely a good entry for the horror story competition. A couple of suggestions. One would be to create a character who represents the Japanese mafia rather than just saying she was tortured by the Japanese mafia as this is too impersonal. Horror needs to take you into the scene so you should describe her staring into the eyes of the man who wants to cause her pain and cursing him by name. Secondly, you should probably put a violence warning on this. Some people dont like violence so it's better to warn them. Thanks for sharing this and best of luck with the competition
