Excellent poem and lesson of end times. Your rhyming makes the poem flow into the next thought. When things get bad we just have to persevere. We must be faithful to God, because he is always faithful to us.
I love the part about angels rejoicing when a person is saved. I first heard it, and heartily believed it when I was first save.

Sister, you are telling the truth in this powerful poem, and it is most encouraging! The image is wonderful, Jesus Christ riding on the horse, mighty and fearful in that Day! Mighty to save His people, fearful to those who oppose Him.
I have missed you, my friend. I see this post was from 10 days ago, and I haven't heard from you, so I hope and pray that you and your family are alright. Thank you for sharing with Helen about some of my difficulties, so that she could also pray. The depression and anxiety have been fierce, but I'm holding onto my Savior, Our Lord Jesus. Fabulous, my friend! This time I have one, small suggestion -- it is probably a typo (happens to me too) but in line one you need the apostrophe and 's' for possession: "Christ's return..."

This is a beautiful poem and you are absolutely correct. The signs are everywhere and people really need to open their eyes. Your rhyme scheme is great and your words flow perfectly. I love the image and the font. Thank you for sharing this!

This is beautifully done. Everything is laid out of what we might expect when He returns. No one knows when that time will be but I sure hope it's soon the way this world is heading at this point in time. This is well-written and the picture enhances the poem. Take care, my dear!!!

Wonderful spiritual message! I totally agree that it feels like the end times but I also know they have been saying this since John's writing of the Book of Revelation. We do see so many examples of people who are "lovers of self" and "lovers of pleasure." The evil one is definitely working overtime but praise Jesus for being patient so more will have time to be saved!

    They laugh at Noah when he was building the ark, they made fun and was still drinking, having parties until God shut the doors of the ark. They are doing the same now as they were doing in the days of Noah. Yes, many are laughing and making fun. when we say end time is closer than we think. The trumpet will sound and Christ is coming back for believers that are sealed with His word. Continue to do what God places in your heart my friend as will I.

Hello Portia, You have created a wonderful poem. The Lord inspires you and you are given a gift by Him. I love that you entitled this Watch and Pray. That's exactly what we as Christians should be doing. Watching closely and waiting for the Messiah and praying for his return. All of this havoc that is going on is a great big sign... like a neon bright beacon shining to tell us that He is coming. I love every word that you chose in this poem. each time a soul is saved, Angels rejoice
It has often been preached; end time is near,
as we look at our world, the signs are clear,
