A wonderful offering of truth and of depth that so deserved the win here, Jeffrey -- gosh, what I wouldn't give for some unity these days, my friend!! ;) Thanx for sharing your heart! ;) Yvette

I love your final line, made from the same clay. We are all part of the human race. On the inside, we are all the same color, texture, and design. I love the multicolor ball. It really helps emphasize the message.

I think this is a good entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt.
This short piece has a clear message and the picture is a beautiful match.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.
Sharon

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about children today growing up together with other cultures to make them colourblind and only see the inside value of another as we should too.

This is awesome. I love the picture and the sentiment. I wish everyone would think the way that you do. We are the same underneath the skin color...we just need to remember that. Good luck in the contest.

The theme is quite timely for your poem, and it delivers a good message. The bonus of rhymes makes this sound well. I really liked that last line, which also refers to all of us eventually turning into clay. Good luck

I appreciate the sentiment and the innocent description of love in this. Definitely connection, and the idea that we are all made of the same matter is beautifully presented. The title on it's on sound rather poetic...the only objection I find is that the word 'colorblind' is often used in social justice circles (and social more aware circles) to describe an unconscious form of racism - the lack of appreciating the real differences in opportunity, and the richness of the diverse cultural background. So, in a way, the title doesn't fully support the message of the poem - just because of this specific connotation. If I had to pick a title for this specific poem I'd go with something like "The True Color of Love' - or 'Kaleidoscope of Love'. Again, I love the poem, and the beautiful message that we should take the younger children's lead in truly appreciating and loving each and everyone.
Thank you for sharing!

This 5-7-5, Colorblind Love, has the right set up and invokes the blissful play of children to reveal the true core of racism to be those with a teaching agenda that includes it.

We all need to return to our innocence
when we didn't judge others, but just
enjoyed them. Your poem captures that
thought. Good luck in the contest!
