You may indeed write for me, Jaybird. Two, if you please. I do so enjoy reading your poems; I never get tired of reading them. You have so much talent and it seems to be an easy feat for you.

I have only one suggestion for edit...to remove the first "for" in the first line. It is, otherwise, flawless.

Yes, writing is a free gift and inspirational for both reader and writer. "Will set alive life's inner fire" is a great line, it describes exactly what poetry is meant to do.

A very well-written uplifting poem. It is a pleasure to read uplifting poems in this time of uncertainty and all the troubles going on in the world. We do not need depressing stories of the past to get us more depressed.

I liked the theme you have chosen! One will be able to relate with this. Writing and reading both inspire people.

It's not for money, power or fame,
that I search for, tis not my game.

A dash would be a better option after "for."
That line sounds too rushed as of now.

I can't afford expensive things
that hopefully, peace and joy brings.

It should be "bring" in the above line.

The concluding couplet is very apt!

Here's what really struck my chord:
You see, I lie awake at night,
with pen and paper, then I write.
Yep, my brain thinks that when I lay down, I"m supposed to compose dialogue in my head! lol
