This is the reality of life, the children grow up and become adults but the memory of their childhood still lives on.
I think your poem is a good illustration of what live is all about. It can be a real struggle, tiring and a real struggle. Well done.

I'm sure every parent (me included) can relate to the feeling that once they exit the womb, there is no turning back and that everything you do moving forward affects that tiny life you're staring down at that you have just created.

Parenthood.
Dare I say NOT for the faint of heart LOL

Some very raw emotions on display about any impending new parent's doubts, fears and the great responsibility we take on to provide for and to nurture these tiny beings that will now rely on us until they are old enough to leave home, but still lazy and dependent enough to bring their washing home for Mum LOL

Pitched in your ever unique and non conforming style.
Yes, everyone appreciates a poetic rule breaker.
Well, most.

I enjoyed reading your poem, even though I had to read it a few times before I fully got it. I don't have children myself, but I can even imagine what a "helicopter" mother I would be if I had them.

Doug, this is touche-ing as always. It does remind me of that one poem you wrote about your daughter, Tori and the special hat. Tender and loving with your special fatherly touche.

This is a truly unique poem that we had to read and critique twice to really understand. That's just one great thing about this poem, it's thought provoking and gives the reader pause. The picture and your choice of colors makes for an exquisite presentation. Have a wonderful day.

I enjoyed reading this, I think many parents go through feelings of fear and want to keep their children as safe as possible, but they must be allowed to grow. A well written piece.

You gonna? Not you're? Perhaps some punctuation between the repetition (because/"it's etc. )? Why does she play your number and not her own? Confusion happens a little because you switch your audience often. You, then it's she. But your style is definitely original and that speaks volumes, at least nobody can say it is boring.

Sad, sad days when the child becomes the adult and has to face all the things of the adult world. We laugh, we cheer, yet we shuddered at all the possiblities. A wonderful poem.

What a nice poem a sweet memory from a parent to his daughter, a portrait that travels through the years, and one day the roles have reversed the child becomes a parent and the story restarts.

I have no idea what this poem means. You lost me after the third stanza. What do you mean by "It's yours?" Are the two adults Dad and daughter? I don't know what you mean about the number that must be played.

I think U can gather the meaning from
most of the reviews. It's about a
